The programme in one line
You buy a tiny house, lease it to Tiny Away, and receive a fixed monthly rental income while Tiny Away hosts the guests and maintains the house. The programme runs for up to 15 years, through lease periods of 2 or 5 years.
What happens at the end of each lease period
At the end of every 2- or 5-year lease period, you choose one of two options. Renew: you lease the house to Tiny Away for another lease period, at no additional cost, up to 15 years in total. Buyback: you sell your tiny house to the company and leave the programme. Nothing changes during a lease period; the choice comes at the end of it.
How the buyback works
With the buyback option, you sell your tiny house to the company at the Sale Price set out in your hire agreement when you sign. The sale completes the day after your lease period ends, and the company pays you within 90 days. We go through that clause with you line by line at the showroom.
Can I leave in the middle of a lease period?
Your lease runs for its full period once it starts. If you anticipate that your plans might change, pick the 2-year lease period so your next decision point comes sooner. Ask us about your situation at the showroom.
Your rights as an owner
Your tiny house remains your property at all times; Tiny Away has the right to possess and use it during the lease period. Your monthly rental is a fixed amount set out in your hire agreement, a binding contract governed by Singapore law.
